In my opinion this is is better starting configuration than 9/9/9/9/3 as both perc and int are more heavily represented as prime attributes than will/mem. Actual difference in training speed over longer time intervals is ofc cosmetic but it's there. At least for most 'real' professions unless u are after very specialized alt in industry or something else like that.
Even for specialized alts you plan to keep training after they reach their initial goal it's very good combination. For example cyno alt (recon ship + covert cyno gen) needs 44% int 27% perc 15% will 14% mem. Same relation (with slightly more even distribution between int/perc) is for specialized carrier alt. Have not done the math for other specialized careers but overall it seems one of the best solutions.
Those were my thoughts as well. Now if someone could just tell me how to make one that isn't so dayum FUGLY
I recently restarted eve AGAIN!
and i now started with 9/9/3/9/9 and when its done i will be happy as larry.it will be easy to guess my training times. as they will always bee the same lol. bar anything with chr. I plan to do learning to 5/4 and add +4 imps for starters.

Personally though I would do 12P/10I/8W/6M/3C, unless you think you really want to do a LOT of int/mem skills.
How about? I play the game how i want you play yours your way?
I prefer having equally high sttribs, I done the uber specialist chr and i prefer having more even skills/attibutes.
what yougain in one area you loose in others.

First off -- It's not LOOSE, it's LOSE. You know, like your argument just did!
What about all you have "lost" (or should I say "loost") in Charisma? You say attributes should be "even" - yet you choose attributes as if Charisma doesn't matter? And then you pretend the rest should be equal? Fail, fail, fail.
9/9/9/9/3 = "I read on forums that Charisma sux0rs, but I am too stupid to optimize the rest!"
[Overt Negativity Detected, Politically Correct Mode Engaged!]
You're right. You should be free to pick whatever attributes you want. Please feel affirmed and encouraged to pick whatever numbers you want and remember - you're special just like everyone else.
feel good about your self for putting other down on the internet? ******* numbnuts ******!

However 9/9/9/9/3 has a nice psychological effect and that can be just as useful as better distribution. ^^
with +5 implants and max learning skills its almost 20m sp a year if no chr based skills are trained.
thats pretty damn good in my books.

Thats all fine and dadny for an alt.
If your a returning player. it pays to be semi rounded off.
